Sorry there hasn’t been any news posted for the last week — first I was traveling for New Year’s, and then I got really sick. But there is a bit of backlog.

The most important Shia story of the last week is that Oliver Stone is considering Shia for his upcoming Vietnam War film, Pinkville. You can read the story here.

The rest just appears to be standard tabloid rumors, and isn’t really worth putting up here.

On December 23rd at 8p.m. eastern time, USA is having the television premiere of the 4th Indiana Jones film.

Shia LaBeouf had a name drop in tonight’s episode of The Cleveland Show. Donna’s character gets scared by another and says “You scared the Sh…ia LaBeouf out of me”.

The LA Times is confirming that Shia is set to star in The Wettest County in the World!

There isn’t an official confirmation yet, but it definitely looks like a possibility. Preview the poster here. What do you guys think? Well, I think Optimus Prime is ready for his close-up.

Shia is close to agreeing to star in The Wettest County in The World, a movie about a family of bootleggers during the Prohibition Era. He’s would be starring along with Tom Hardy, and would have to drop out of The College Republicans in order to film this.

Shia will make an appearance on the David Letterman show tonight.  Show starts 11:35 eastern time.

There is a rumor flying around on all of the major websites that Shia and Carey Mulligan have broken up. We have no confirmation whether or not it’s true — neither Shia nor Carey is saying that it is — but we figured we should report it, since it’s showing up everywhere.

If anyone gets any confirmation on this, send it our way! Hope it’s not true…

According to reports, Shia has expressed interest in playing a young Karl Rove in Richard Linklater’s upcoming The College Republicans.

In a recent interview Shia reassures fans that “Transformers 3″ will be the best in the series.

It seems that old feuds die hard. For those of us who remember Shia’s long-ago feud with Frankie Muniz, it appears still to be going on. Here were Shia’s latest mention of Frankie:

While that’s flattering as hell, you could have put Frankie Muniz into any of the movies I’ve been in and it would’ve still been No.1.
