‘Eagle Eye’ $10.5M Opening Day

The past 2 months have been a drag for the box office, but Eagle Eye has broken the bad streak by taking in $10.5M opening day, and going for $28.35M for the weekend. Not bad for a late September release. Can’t wait to see the final results.

    Paul Newman passed away yesterday, so I’m a kinda bummed out. RIP

    An interesting tid bit is that he grew up in Shaker Heights and was a graduate of Yale University’s School of drama. I heard that Shia wanted to have a career like his, and I hope so, too.

    Very sad news about Newman. Hope he rest in peace.

    Not bad for movie coming around this time of the year.Just saw the movie today with my father.

    Rest in peace to Paul Newman. He was such an amazing actor and he will be truly missed. :( I see the movie is doing well so far, I hope it will exceed the expectations of 28 million. Go Shia! :)

    That’s right it made over 10mil. I gladly handed over the $9.75 to see it. I would have paid $50.75! Look out ‘Dark Knight’, ‘Eagle Eye’ is coming!

    I already saw it twice and heck yeah im going to see it again!! :) that movie is so freakin awesome….the action scenes took my breath away from how intense they were! and Shia did an awesome job as usual and looked EXTREMELY good in the movie too! :) and i lovet he beginning when they are playing poker…priceless moment of a poker game in an acton movie!!! Lmao!

    RIP Paul Newman….just remember he is in a better place now :)

    I am also bummed to hear about Paul Newman! He was a great person and philanthropist. Anyhow….I am excited that Eagle Eye has done so well, there are a lot of great movies that have come about recently that I would love to see, of course this is the one I am most looking forward to…I can’t wait to finally see it this weekend! I’m excited!!
